MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1994. Stopped in 1998 after 53 issues.

The starring character's alter ego is John Henry Irons. He is a brilliant inventor, a weapons engineer, and a powerful athlete, three advantages that he uses in his second career as a crimefighter. For that purpose he has invented a powered suit of armour which supplies him with the usual superhero abilities such as flight and strength, and a special, kinetic sledgehammer that he uses as his primary weapon.

Previously, DC had made two other series featuring a character named Steel.
