MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1938 in a comic magazine. From 1939 it appeared in its own magazine.

The starting point for most of the stories is the newspaper Daily Planet in Metropolis where Superman - who originates from another planet - works in a secret identity as Clark Kent. Using his superior skills he is able to overpower most of the world's criminals.
Superman's powers have developed dramatically through time; in the first years he could hardly lift a truck, but soon he was able to juggle with planets!

Superman is also a member of Justice League of America.
