Personal dates: Founded in 1943 by Vincent 'Vin' Sullivan (1911-1999). Before he started the company Sullivan was the editor of National Allied Publications (later known as DC Comics). Stopped in 1958.

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1950. Stopped in 1954 after 14 issues.

Rex Fury is a righteous cowboy in these horror-themed stories from the Old West. Whenever he sees injustice he mounts his horse Spectre after having disguised himself as a spooky ghost thus becoming The Ghost Rider in order to strike the villains with fear.

The series was renamed Phantom Rider from 1967, while the original title was taken over by a more modern hero driving a motorcycle.
