MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1974. Stopped in 1975 after 22 issues, but has been revived several times since then.

The starring character is a former biochemist Theodore 'Ted' Sallis, who, while working on a project in Florida's Everglades, had an accident that turned him into a plantlike, humanoid creature. This also supplied him with superhuman strength and special empathic senses, but he is now doomed to a life in the swamps.
