MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2003. Stopped in 2004 after 8 issues.

The shy schoolgirl Hitomi Kanzaki suddenly finds herself teleported from Earth to the planet Gaea, where she gets caught up in a war against attackers from the Zaibach Empire. One of the defenders is Prince Van Fanel who pilots Escaflowne, which is a robotic Guymelef that can transform into a flying dragon.
