Comments: Through time Young engaged a number of ghosts to help him with the graphics. Alex Raymond and Burne Hogarth are a few of the more well-known.
Young's younger brother, Murat Bernard (Chic), was the creator of Blondie.

 

 

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1928. It is the oldest adventure series still in existence.

From 1931 Tyler and his friend Slavins work as police officers in the Ivory Patrol in the African wilderness. Here they encounter all sorts of native tribes - friendly and hostile - and white foreigners that mostly are criminals.
The series has a certain continuity; the two heroes advance from privates to corporals to sergents, and their commander, Paul Clark, advances from sergent to captain.
