MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1962. Stopped in 1970 after 28 issues.

The title character is heading the scams in a New York alley, and he is always clever enough to fool the police. Top Cat comes across as being flashy and assertive, traits that help him in his activities. His visible 'trade marks' are straw hat and vest.

The series is based on an animated TV cartoon series that ran from 1961 to 1962 (30 episodes).
