MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1985. Stopped in 1987 after 14 issues, but the character continued in Heathcliff from #22 on.

The title character is an intelligent, talking dog who lives in the Jordan family with the kids Joey and Lizzie. It is a secret to everyone but Joey that Top Dog can actually speak, and they go on dangerous spy adventures together. What Joey does not know is that his dog is also a secret agent.
