Personal dates: Founded in 1898 as a printing house by Jean Dupuis  (1875-1952). Ongoing.

Comments: The corporation started the publishing of newspapers and novels in 1922, and since 1938 a variety of children's comic book series have been added.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1989*. Stopped in 2007 after 18 issues.

The main character is a 1-year old lively and slightly mischievous toddler known as Toupet (which can, among others, mean Cheeky in English). He often drives his parents Robert and Hélène Dubois as well as his neighbours up the wall with his childish curiosity and startling whims. One of his favourite activities is banging on things with a hammer.
