MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1962. Stopped in 1976 after 588 issues. As the series went on it absorbed other series and was retitled accordingly; Valiant and Knockout from 1963, Valiant and Smash! from 1971, Valiant and TV21 from 1972, Valiant and Lion from 1974, and Valiant and Vulcan from 1976.

The series contains several independent action stories in diverse fastpaced genres. Examples are Adam Eterno, Billy Bunter, Captain Hurricane, Kelly's Eye, Sexton Blake, and The Steel Claw.
