MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1944. Stopped in 1965 after 90 issues (the series went into hiatus from 1960 to 1962, though).

The main character is Wilbur Wilkin, a lively and good-natured teenage boy experiencing the usual problems with school and girls. Some of the most often occurring other characters are the girlfriends Laurie Lake and Linda Moore, and the boyfriends called Red and Slats.
The series' main concept and the characters are similar to Archie.

The title character was first published in Zip Comics from 1941.
