MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1944. Stopped in 1946 after 10 issues.

The title character is a crime writer named Vince Harley, who was once attacked by robbers who poured yellowjackets* over him in an attempt to kill him. Harley survived and discovered that he now had gained control over insects thus he began fighting crime in his wasp-like costume.

* A Yellowjacket (today more commonly spelled Yellow Jacket) is a type of predatory wasp with distinctive yellow and black stripes.
